PJ’s Website




PJ Livingstone  (they) is an artist and arts writer whose research explores safety, space, and citizenship through interdisciplinary projects. They are the founder and editor-in-chief of Mister Magazine 1 and an inaugural Boston Art Writing Fellow 2 at Boston Art Review. They earned their BA in Sociocultural Anthropology and Spanish 3 at Boston University. They currently run the Boston Art Radar, a first-of-its-kind resource for connecting people to the cultural spaces that shape Greater Boston’s visual arts community, and work as a community organizer at The Bronx Defenders.

Mister Magazine
is an independent publication that supports artists with expansive creative and critical practices.  Founded in 2021, Mister has published the debut features of hundreds of artists online and in print. It was a finalist for the CLMP Firecracker awards in 2024. Its fourth issue,  focused on movement, launched in 2026.

3 PJ was formerly based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They completed a semester abroad with SIT Argentina: Social Movements and Human Rights and worked on the Student Welfare team at Mocha Celis, a grassroots secondary school for the travesti-trans community.  In 2024, they won the Alice M. Brennan award for excellence in the humanities. In 2026, they received the  BU Undergraduate Student Awards for excellence in Anthropology.
