Poppy Livingstone  (any pronouns) is an artist and arts writer whose research explores safety, space, and selfhood through interdisciplinary projects. They are the founder and editor-in-chief of Mister Magazine 1 and an inaugural Boston Art Writing Fellow 2 at Boston Art Review. They are earning their BA in Sociocultural Anthropology 3 at Boston University, where they are a member of the Kilachand Honors College. Contact them here . Mister Magazine
is an independent publication that supports artists with expansive creative and critical practices.  Founded in 2021, Mister has published the debut features of dozens of artists online and in print. It was a finalist for the CLMP Firecracker awards. Its third issue, which will focus on themes of heritage, cultural ecology, and art, is forthcoming.

3 Poppy’s research centers on diasporic Jews in Latin America. This spring, they will go to Buenos Aires to conduct fieldwork for their thesis.  They recently won the Alice M. Brennan award for their work in the humanities.
